AND COMPLETE THE FIRST HALF OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP GETTING THE LEADERSHIP.
ANTÓNIO COIMBRA AND LUÍS SILVA WIN IN THE AM CLASS AND JUMP FOR VICE-LEADERSHIP IN THE CLASS.

and had a weekend of mixed emotions in Hungary.

On Saturday, the # 488 Ferrari team was on a dream racing. After Mac won the pole for the first race, Ferrari took the lead and built a significant advantage for a more than deserved win. However, five minutes from the end of the race, with at the wheel, a disgruntled attitude of Johnny Mowlem who closes the door to the Ferrari, leads the Portuguese driver to make a top and lose two positions.

Despite Ramos’ effort, it was not possible to go further than the third place and although the British driver was penalized, there was nothing to do about the final result. and lost the second victory of the season and the displeasure of the pilots was very visible in the ceremony of the podium.

It’s one of the worst sensations to lose like that. We had the race perfectly controlled, we were managing the lead, but without facilitating anything, as our times around prove our concentration well and we had the right pace. The worst thing is the work of so many people in our team who were thus spoiled in a perfectly avoidable situation. He saw the blue flags, he realized how fast I was approaching, I was not struggling with anyone, I do not understand how he closed the door like that. The Mowlem was penalized, but our race was ruined. ” said at the end of the race.

In the second race, Ramos came out of the fourth position on the grid, but felt some difficulty in putting the tires at the ideal temperature, suffering some pressure from the Lamborghini from Biagi. “The first 3 laps had some difficulties, but when the temperature stabilized and felt” grip “, I was able to get into a good rhythm and I moved away from Biagi, entering the fight for 4th place again.”

At the time of the driver’s change, the team had to fulfill a handicap of 5 seconds and the Ferrari # 488 fell to 7th. It was then that a with “the knife in the teeth” took to the track and carried out a spectacular recovery until the second place in which finished the race.

was a much more smiling man in this second podium. The fantastic performance of the whole team and the extraterrestrial stint of Mikka took the Ferrari to the leadership of the , when was finished the first half of the championship.

It was a fantastic turn what Mikka did. It struck hardcore throughout the stint and the best signal is the fastest lap got to an end turn. It was a shame we were both stuck in both stints, and this way BMW got a good lead, otherwise we would fight in the end. In the end of the day there are the two podium rises, but above all we showed that they can count on us in the fight for the title. ”

António Coimbra and Luís Silva also had an excellent second race at the Hungaroring.

The Portuguese duo of the # 99, won the class AM and got the second place in the championship, in the class.

The # 99 team has had a fairly regular championship, scoring in all races and finishing four races in fourth place in the class, three in second and the latter in first.
